It is finally here that IAAS and the Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network (CSAYN) have coordinated one of the biggest events in their history (1500+ registrations from more than 90 countries). Youth from around the globe have participated in conversations with scholars, practitioners, and politicians on the future of food systems, with a specific emphasis on Africa.
It was hoped to see members of FAO, United Nations, and Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken and to hear them talk about the position of young people. On the sidelines of the Climate Adaptation Summit and the UN Food Systems Summit, we proudly present our “call to action” based on the “climate-smart agriculture” strategy. We are completely committed to incorporating these calls for practice with the establishment of a “think tank” and the extension of “village concept projects” in which students are supporting rural communities.
